Germany vs. Morocco: A Clash of Titans at the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup

Germany recorded the biggest victory margin of the ongoing 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup following a 6-0 victory over Morocco in Melbourne on Monday. The game was played at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. Germany dominated the game with 77% possession. Alexandra Popp scored two goals for Germany, while Lea Schuller and Klara Buehl each scored one goal. Morocco was only the second side to score two own goals in a single FIFA Women's World Cup match, after Ecuador v Switzerland in 2015.

This result means that Germany is off to a strong start in Group H, while Morocco will have to regroup after this difficult debut at the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Germany's form was impressive throughout the game, with their set-pieces and corners looking particularly dangerous.
